Translation Results and Original Subtitles Mismatch, with Blank Lines

When translating subtitles, the default trans_thread=15, which means 15 lines of subtitles are sent to the translation engine at the same time. Some more intelligent translation engines, such as Google or ChatGPT DeepL, optimize the translation according to semantics. As a result, the engine receives 15 lines of original text, but the returned translation result may not correspond to the original 15 lines. It might return 14 lines, 13 lines, or even fewer.

Example:

If the original subtitles sent to the engine are two lines:

Line 1: You're one of my

Line 2: best friends.

The translation engine might return an optimized result as a single line, automatically merging the two lines into one based on semantics, and the translation result is also one line:

You are one of my best friends.

Instead of the expected two lines:

Line 1: You are one of Line 2: my best friends

How to completely avoid this situation?

  1. Open Menu--Tools--Advanced Settings and change Number of subtitles translated simultaneously to trans_thread=1. But obviously, this method slows down the speed and cannot take into account the context, so the effect is not good.
  2. Use more intelligent AI large models, such as gpt-4o/qwen2.5-max, etc.
